Ratana

Hello I am very happy that I hear the information from the head of Friends Economics Development Association (FEDA) who told me about scholarship. Well, this is the first opportunity for me to write the personal story.

Now maybe you want to know about me, so the first I will introduce myself. I am Ratana. I’m living in Ksach Poy village. It is in the country side far away from my school in Battambang.

Nowadays, I ride an old bike to school. It takes one hour to arrive at the school. So, I have to get up early in the morning every day. There are six members in my family; my parents, grandmother, my brother and sister. My mother is a nurse, my father is a teacher, and my sister and brother are students. I am an oldest sister. Now I am a student in High School in grade 12. In my studying I like mathematics and I always think when I finish high school, I will continue to the university if I have ability.

Nowadays, in the community there is much non completed development, especial in education and their daily live. In the past it used to be developed, but not completely yet, to push economics and quality of lives. This is caused by many factors. I have observed all the people need budget and consultant of banking and finance. This factor makes me want to study banking and finance skills to make the credit part to solve the problems that happen when the people in the community meet the difficulty of banking and finance part for support them .

This is my goal that I want to be in the future. But I am always worried about my study because my parents are getting older and nearly retired from their work. So they haven’t enough money to give me to study at University when I finish high school. Now I am seeking for help to achieve my goal. I think the study will help me to arrive my goal and also develop my community. So, I have to try to study more and more. I hope you will support me and help me to study at university.
